This guide will help both guests and hosts understand how to use OnsStay smoothly — from creating an account to booking, hosting, managing properties, and using all features of the platform.
1. Getting Started
1.1 Create an Account
You can create a free OnsStay account:
- Go to: https://onsstay.com/register
- Choose:
- Guest Account (for booking)
- Host Account (for listing and managing properties)
- Enter your details (name, email, phone number)
- Verify your email
2. For Guests (Booking Guide)
2.1 Browsing Properties
- Use the search bar to enter destination, dates, and number of guests.
- Apply filters (price range, amenities, property type).
- Check photos, descriptions, rules, amenities, and reviews.
2.2 Booking a Stay
- Select the property you want.
- Review total price, cleaning fee, and taxes.
- Click Book Now.
- Complete payment securely.
2.3 Secure Payments
OnsStay uses Stripe to process payments safely. Your card details are fully encrypted.
2.4 After Booking
After a successful booking, you will receive:
- A confirmation email
- Check-in instructions
- Host contact information
2.5 Cancelling a Booking
- Go to your dashboard
- Open My Bookings
- Select the booking and check the cancellation policy shown on your booking
3. For Hosts (Property Management Guide)
3.1 Adding a New Property
- Log in to your OnsStay Host Dashboard.
- Click Add New Property.
- Fill in:
- Title & description
- Location
- Property type
- Amenities
- House rules
- Photos (high resolution recommended)
3.2 Setting Pricing
- Set your nightly rate.
- Add weekly or monthly discounts (optional).
- Add a cleaning fee if applicable.
- Enable dynamic pricing (optional).
3.3 Calendar Management
You can:
- Block dates manually.
- Sync with other platforms via:
- iCal import & export
- PMS integrations (if your account is connected)
3.4 Managing Bookings
From the Host Dashboard, you can:
- View and manage all bookings.
- See guest details.
- Send messages to guests.
- View payment and payout details.
3.5 Guest Communication
OnsStay offers:
- Automated messages (booking confirmation, check-in instructions, reminders).
- Manual messaging through the dashboard.
- Check-in instruction templates for each property.
3.6 Payments to Hosts
- Host payouts are processed via Stripe Connect.
- Payout timing depends on your connected Stripe account settings and local banking rules.
- You can track all payouts under the Host Wallet section in your dashboard.
4. Housekeeping & Tasks
4.1 Automated Scheduling
- Cleaning tasks can be automatically created based on check-out dates.
- You can also manually create and assign tasks.
4.2 Team Permissions
- Add team members to your account.
- Assign roles such as Cleaner, Manager, or Viewer.
- Control what each team member can see and manage.
5. Security & Verification
5.1 Guest Verification
- ID verification (such as Emirates ID or passport), where applicable.
- Email and phone verification.
5.2 Host Verification
- Business or trade license, if applicable.
- Property permits where required by local regulations.

6.1 Cancellation Policies
OnsStay supports multiple cancellation policies. Each host can choose the policy that best fits their property.

The policy chosen by the host is shown clearly on the property page and during booking.
6.2 Damage Policy
- If a guest causes damage, the host should report it within 48 hours of check-out.
- OnsStay may request photos or other documentation.
- Where applicable, compensation may be handled according to the platform’s terms and payment rules.

Q1: How do I cancel my booking?
Go to My Bookings, select the booking, and click Cancel. Please review the property’s cancellation policy before cancelling.
Q2: When do hosts get paid?
Hosts are typically paid after guest check-in, according to the payout schedule of their connected Stripe account.
Q3: Can I sync my calendar with other platforms?
Yes. OnsStay supports calendar synchronization via iCal and PMS integrations where available.
Q4: How do I edit my listing?
Log in to your Host Dashboard, go to My Properties, choose the property you want to edit, and click Edit.
